Building a home is a very detail-oriented process. When working with an experienced custom builder like MAC Custom Homes, you can be sure that your project will be detailed ahead of time and completed quickly. Here is a general overview of the different stages of our construction process.

1. Initial Builder Meeting 
 

The first steps begin by reviewing the home building process. 

• Have you purchased the property where you plan to build your home? 

• Discuss budget parameters for your new home.

• Are you currently working with an Architect/Designer?

• Establish a timeline and proposed start date for construction.

2. Home Tour
 

We feel it is essential for you to see the quality of our team's work. We will schedule a personal tour of homes we have built and homes under construction.

3. Setting a Budget
 

Before we start building your new home, we first establish a budget. Once we have that in place, our highly skilled team can begin to create a concept and design.

4. Land Evaluation
 

We visit the property to evaluate site conditions and what needs to be done to make your property build-ready. We will obtain the building and construction permits. After getting your initial building permits, your construction project will commence by clearing and excavating the land. Working with our experienced construction team will make this a smooth process. 

 

 

5. Home Design
 

Once your budget is established, we can begin to design your new custom home. This is one of our favorite parts as we put together your one-of-kind home on your property. A walk-thru is done room-by-room to identify the homeowner's specific wants and needs: the architect, designer, builder, and client review home designs.

6. Building Agreement
 

MAC will compile all the information for the plans and specifications and will provide the cost of building your new home. Both the homeowner and MAC Custom Homes will sign the building agreement.

7. Construction / Timeline
 

Once we break ground, and construction begins, we will provide the client a detailed schedule of the project timeline. We make it a top priority to stay on this timeline to get you into your beautiful new home.

8. Completion
 

Upon completing your beautiful MAC Custom Home, we will do a thorough inspection and walk-through. At this time, we proudly turn over the keys to the homeowner, as their dream has now become a reality.
