In Print

Although it is not actually “historic,” a Leelanau Peninsula residence renovated by MAC Custom Homes was restored with such meticulous attention to authentic details that it was chosen to be featured in the pages of Historic Cottages of Glen Lake, by Barbara Siepker, with photographs by Dietrich Floeter. The book is the 2008 Winner of the Michigan Historical Society Award and a Michigan Notable Book. The home so closely echoes the look and feel of early summer resort life in Northern Michigan that anyone who sees it simply assumes it is a vintage cottage.

Giving Back

Our business is very important to us, but also high on our list of priorities is giving back to our community and helping those who are less fortunate. Over the years, we have contributed to many charitable causes, not only financially, but with our hearts and hands. In 2003 and 2004, we made mission trips to Haiti to do carpentry work and offer our professional expertise to people building schools and homes there. We have also supported Traverse City’s House of Hope, Children’s Museum and Pregnancy Care Center with materials, labor and or financial contributions, and served as a local sponsor for the 2008 Ugly Kitchen Contest, which awarded a complete new kitchen to a local family.
