Glen Lake

Our 2002 Parade of Homes entry, this 4428-square-foot waterfront residence was also featured in the Northwest Michigan edition of the national magazine Builder’s Journal. The size and number of the home’s large windows, even on the walkout level, create light-filled spaces to bring the outdoors in, with stunning views of Big Glen Lake. Custom touches are everywhere. A vaulted ceiling in the great room opens up to an upper level bridge connecting the second-floor bedrooms. The living room’s corner cobblestone fireplace adds a warm, cozy feeling without blocking the lake view. And the chef’s kitchen, whose beautiful cherry cabinetry was designed by Wooden Hammer, connects to a quaint four-season room. The perfectly coordinated monochromatic color scheme that flows throughout this spacious home ties every corner of it together seamlessly – from the formal dining room to the main floor den and even the bonus room above the three-car garage.
