COTTAGE CONTEST

MAC Custom Homes is sponsoring a design contest for the Ultimate Up North Cottage. We will put the three best entries on display this April at the Up North Lake and Cottage Show. Show attendees will vote on the designs they like best and we will have the plans priced out in a "built on your lot" scenario. The designers would retain the rights to their plans. The general contest guidelines are as follows...

* Luxury focus to demonstrate small doesn't need to mean less opulent.
* Limit the designs to 2200-2800 heated sq/ft. (garage and patio space unlimited)
* Focus on green concepts (passive, solar, sips, rain catch, etc)
* Designs built around an Up North Lifestyle. (outdoor entertaining, mud rooms, etc)
* Structure must be able to conform to MRC 2009 (60lb ground, 47lb live)
